5 Things We’re Looking Forward to at APA

The APA Congress in Long Beach, California is right around the corner and we are pumped and ready to be attending!

There are many things that we are looking forward to, but we’ve tried to narrow it down to our top five — so here goes!

1.) Knott’s Berry Farm

We’re planning to unleash our inner children at California’s very first theme park — Knott’s Berry Farm! With humble beginnings as a small berry farm, it’s now a family theme park with lots of attractions, entertainment, food and family-friendly fun that we can’t wait to join in on! Not quite sure we’re ready for Hangtime, the new steel roller coaster that’s the first dive coaster in the state, but maybe we can be triple-dog-dared into it!

2.) Thursday’s Keynote

Be there or be square at 9:45 a.m. for Vivek Wadhwa’s session titled, “Convergence, Disruption, and Opportunity: How Existing Industries Will Be Disrupted and New Trillion-Dollar Industries Will Emerge.” We can’t wait to learn about how disruption creates new opportunities from the author of “The Driver in the Driverless Car: How Our Technology Choices Will Create the Future.” Vivek is sure to keep us wide awake and entertained with an enlightening presentation about how advancing technology will rapidly change the world as we know it!

3.) Aquarium of the Pacific

Who doesn’t like an aquarium? Especially when it’s the largest one in southern California! At the Aquarium of the Pacific, you can find more than 11,000 animals in 50 exhibits. We’ll need our walking shoes and cameras when we visit with all these Pacific Ocean creatures. If you’ve brought the family with you, this might be the place to take the kids for a few hours!

4.) On-Demand Pay Panel

Starting at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, this panel is moderated by APA’s Director of Government Relations and includes representatives from DailyPay, GreenDot and GigWage. Want to know how a daily pay benefit works? Have compliance concerns? Think you’re ready to offer it? Learn more and get answers to all your questions from leading technology provider experts.

5.) Swag and Games

Swag, swag and more swag. Be sure leave some extra room in your luggage for all the free stuff you’re going to have to bring home. You’ll have three chances during the conference to grab some cool stuff from DailyPay:

At our booth (#453)

At our booth, we’ll be giving our swag just for stopping by. We’ll have tote bags (you get a tote, you get a tote, everyone gets a tote!!!); and nifty DailyPay water bottles pre-filled with ice cold drinking water, because we know it’s easy to get thirsty walking miles of tradeshow floor.

At our breakout session (Thursday, May 16th — 4:00-5:30pm, Promenade 104A)

When you attend our breakout session entitled, “How the DailyPay movement will impact payroll as we know it” we’ll be giving away 1 giftcard to Vera Bradley (a DailyPay partner) and 3 giftcards to Sprinkles Bakery (also a DailyPay partner).

In our BINGO game

Finally, we’ll be running an interactive BINGO game during the conference. Everyone who signs up to participate will receive clues throughout the conference. When you match BINGO, you’ll bring your card to our booth and where you’ll win either an insulated metal koozie or a wireless phone charger

So…what are you looking forward to? Will we see you there?
